2016-17: Posted overall record of 23-11 for this season… Collected a team-leading 10 falls… Was ranked in the top 25 nationally during the season as a heavyweight in the Southern Conference … Competed at 285 pounds in Southern Conference Championship… Earned a double win for the Cougars over Gardner-Webb’s Boyce Cornwell (3-2) and South Dakota’s Alex Macki (10-0) division… Scored 3.00 team points… Pulled off top win of collegiate career against No. 6 ranked Illinois wrestler Brooks Black with a 6-0 win… Named Southern Conference wrestler of the Week (Dec. 14).
2015-16: Placed third at heavyweight at the Grand View Open with a 2-1 win over Iowa State's Jon Scanlan ... Also finished third at the Maryville Kaufman/Brand Open with a 12-0 victory over Missouri's Justin Smith ... Recorded 10 falls for the season, including three in a row at the Greyhound Open ... Placed fifth at the Greyhound Open ... Finished season with a 21-10 record.
2014-15: Tabbed by FloWrestling as a wrestler to watch in the future ... Posted 18-6 record as an unattached wrestler ... Participated in seven tournaments ... Earned key victory over Illinois' Brooks Black in a 6:59 fall.
Prep: 2014 Michigan state champion at Richmond High School ... Sixth-place finisher at state meet as a junior ... Four-time conference champion ... Three-sport athlete at Richmond in wrestling, football, and track and field ... Parents are Kevin and Jodi McKiernan.
Justin Russo

Coach Russo was a two time state placer and 2011 state runner-up for Richmond High School. Coach Russo wrestled collegiately for Marion Military Institute. Coach Russo served his country in the United States Marine Corp and earned his bachelor’s degree in sports management from Central Michigan University. Coach Russo has four years coaching experience working with all levels of athletes.
Aaron Kilburn
*TWO TIME MHSAA STATE CHAMPION
COLLEGE: TIFFIN
Coach Kilburn was a four time state placer for Richmond High School. Coach Kilburn finished third, second and was a two time state champion while attending Richmond High School. Coach Kilburn competed collegiately at Tiffin University. Coach Kilburn is extremely motivated to help young athletes reach their full potential.
